ABOUT ME
Strategic marketing with a practical, human approach.
Raised on a sheep farm in Wisconsin, I learned early the value of hard work, clear communication, and figuring things out as you go. Summers were spent helping around the farm and developing the practical, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset that still shapes how I work today.

After earning a creative writing degree, I moved to Washington, DC, to work on Capitol Hill before transitioning into nearly 20 years of marketing and corporate communications work in the security industry. Throughout my career, I've led marketing and communications initiatives for publicly traded companies, supported executive leadership teams, managed public relations and investor communications, and helped organizations strengthen their messaging, refine their brands, and communicate with clarity and confidence.
While much of my career has been spent supporting large organizations, I've always been drawn to helping smaller businesses and nonprofits tell their stories. The challenges may look different, but the fundamentals are the same: understanding your audience, communicating clearly, and building trust over time.

Today, through Riverbird Marketing, I partner with businesses that want marketing and communications that feel polished, strategic, and human – not overly corporate or complicated. Whether it’s helping businesses find customers, developing messaging that resonates, creating a consistent brand, or bringing structure to marketing efforts that feel scattered, I enjoy helping businesses communicate with more clarity and confidence.
I now live near the Wisconsin River Valley with my husband, sons, and our sassy cat. Outside of work and family, I’m usually listening to a comedy podcast, reorganizing something that probably didn’t need reorganizing, cheering for the Packers, or building Spotify playlists that I insist other people will enjoy.
